ERA (Educational Recording Agency) Licence

Membership of the Video Library Subscription Service is open only to educational establishments holding or covered by a valid ERA licence. If your school/college is a local authority one, including former GM schools then this should be the case.

Other types of institution (such as independent schools) should confirm their ERA status by checking internally or contacting the ERA on 020 7837 3222.

The licence is required if you use any broadcast recordings at all, not just our service.

We do not check your licence status but we do send details on to ERA who do.

Subscription Information

      All subscriptions run from August 1^st to July 31^st of the following year

      All subscribers must be covered by a valid ERA licence

      Subscribers are entitled to 12 free recordings per year

      Subscribers may apply for 6 additional recordings (see subscription fees information below)

      We recommend subscriptions to this service are handled by your institution’s Library/LRC

      Applications should be made online

      An invoice for the subscription fees will be sent by post once your application has been processed
