FAQs These are some of the questions our subscribers frequently ask. You may find that your own questions can be answered by having a quick read of this page. If you don’t find the answers you need then please contact either Nick or Sharif for more help on 020 8607 8423. How do I find what I want? Our catalogue is available on-line at: Please be aware that this database also contains books so ensure that you chose “video recording” from the drop down “media” menu. If you have any queries regarding using the catalogue then please feel free to email or call either Nick (manager) or Sharif (video officer) on 020 8607 8423. DVD or VHS? Most of our collection is on VHS but we can transfer tapes to DVD if that is what you require. We supply DVD- r by default. If you require DVD+r then please notify us. How do I order? You can order by phone 020 8607 8423 after 1pm. Or email ntann@rutc.ac.uk using the order form sent with your membership information. The tape number is the number at the top left of the screen when you click on the individual tape record in the catalogue. If we have a DVD recording of your programme already, then you will see a DVD record at the bottom of the page and we would ask you to quote that number if it is a DVD copy you require. If you order by email, I will send you a reply acknowledging your order. How many tapes can I order at a time? You can order as many tapes or DVDs as you have on your allocation. What happens when I’ve used up my quota of 12? If you wish to extend your allowance then you can apply for an extension by submitting an extension form via the college website. When will my order arrive? We aim to ship your order within 10 working days, although circumstances may occur that could cause it to be a little longer. This is usually due to teachers at RuTC borrowing them! Can I get a list of programmes that you plan to record? Yes, all members will receive our listings once a week. If you wish you may unsubscribe from these emails by replying to any of these emails with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject header We will not pass your email details to any other persons. How can I tell what I’ve had? When you enter our catalogue (http://library.rutc.ac.uk) you will notice a “key” icon. Click on this
icon and you will be taken to a log in page. Ignore the password field
and enter your VLS number. This will take you straight back to the search
