What is the course about?
|
If you enjoy and find learning easier in a ‘hands-on’ environment this may be the course for you. As an IT Apprentice your main role will be that of a 1st line support technician. You will be required to carry out a variety of tasks ranging from solving technical problems to installations of hardware/software and configuring computer systems. Working with the latest technology in the workplace will give you the experience and skills required by the IT industry. The Apprenticeship programme will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification. |
Who is the course for?

The Apprenticeship is targeted at those over 16 years of age who would like the opportunity to pursue a vocational career as well as gaining a formal qualification. |
Am I qualified to join the course?

GCSEs and/or key skills at level 2 (Communications and Application of Number) are required for all prospective applicants.

What can the course lead to?
|
Upon completion, you would have the option of staying in the IT industry or going to university to further your study to degree level.

How do I enrol?
|
Applicants should complete and return an application form, which should include an up to date reference after which an interview can be arranged. As this is a roll-on roll-off course, interviews take place throughout the year, including over the summer period.
