What is the course about?

Biology focuses on the relevance of biology in the context of exciting real life topics. Your studies will explore the science of modern medicine, climate change, new technological approaches to genetics, ecology in the context of conservation and forensics. The course combines well with a range of other subjects, for example, brain science studies in A2 would be useful for psychology students and physiology would be useful for students studying AS/A2 PE. You will carry out a lot of interesting practical work and the course is fully supported by its own textbook and e-learning resources. Coursework includes a report on a biological visit or issue of your choice. At A2 each student carries out an individual practical research project. The course is at a fast pace, and challenging in its concepts. Please make sure you compare this course with other science courses: Science Applied, Environmental Science and Science in Society.
